Over the past 30 years BOSCO has spread its wings across the city of Bangalore through 7 rehabilitation centres, which focuses on the protection and rehabilitation of the street children. Realizing the importance of providing protection through shelter, we have set up seven shelters in various part of the city which provides a safe and secure environment for either a few hours or permanently. Designed as semi-institutional structures, the centres facilitate the child for the transition from the street to the society. BOSCO also has Child Rescue Booths in both the City Railway Station and City Bus Stand where our staff members are on the rounds 24 hours a day in shifts for rescuing young boys who are prone to risk by being on the streets.
Bosco Yuvodaya
BOSCO Yuvodaya situated at Gandhinagar serves as an open shelter for the children on the streets and young at risk. This centre was opened on January 31, 1989. It serves as a day -night open shelter. The children who are brought here from all over the city especially from the railway station and bus stand are counseled, their problems are analyzed and are encouraged to return to their homes.

Bosco Mane
This centre acts as a halfway home to street children below 15 years who are persuaded to come away from the streets. At this centre, boys enjoy maternal/paternal care, affection, concern and true fellowship.Some of the them are referred to other institutions for formal education while others attend training in carpentry, welding, two wheeler repairs, tailoring, electrical and bookbinding. At present there are about 80 boys residing in the centre. Besides, Mane serves as a convalescing centre from 1986 for the sick boys from the areas that require special care.

Bosco Yuvakendra
BOSCO Yuvakendra, situated in Magadi Road, has been rendering its services to the street and working youth for the past 10 years. It is the first of seven centers of BOSCO in Bangalore. It concentrates on youth between the age group of 14-18 years. It is mainly for youth, who require support to secure employment, apprenticeship or acquire a vocational skill leading to job placement. Efforts are made to place them back in their homes or find an independent living. Boys staying at Yuvakendra also assist in the kitchen and maintain the centre. Provision for self-cooking and space for safe keeping of personal belongings are also available at the centre. It serves as a residential rehabilitation centre, a centre for job placement, room placement, home placement, and day-and-night open shelter. Other activities of the centre include provision for working boy, boys who are undergoing vocational training or apprenticeship, and those new to the street. Literacy classes, skill training in screen printing and assistance to complete their secondary school examinations are also available at the centre.

Bosco Nilaya
It is the fifth centre that was opened on March 24th, 2001. This centre aims at the rehabilitation of the underprivileged children who are living in the street through the following programs: Daily contact with street children, counseling, De-addiction program, Awareness and Orientation programs, talent enhancement programs, medical care, daily meals, day and night shelter, home placement, job placement, rehabilitation programs through camps, picnics and recreation. The centre will cater to the all-round development of street children and is a major contribution of BOSCO group for the welfare of street children.

Bosco Sumanahalli
BOSCO Sumanahalli is one of the new rehabilitation centers of BOSCO opened in 2006. The focus of this centre is mainly offering vocational training. At present the center trains the children in carpentry, welding, bookbinding, tailoring and two wheeler mechanism. In short time the centre also plans to offer training in multimedia, computer technology, electrical, Aluminium, Fabrication and food technology. It consists of four acres has been made available for the rehabilitation of the street children and de-addiction and education.

Bosco Vikas
This is the fulfillment of a long awaited dream of Bosco, a centre for the School going street children. It came into existence on 10of September, 2006. We have around 50 children who stay and go to regular schools. There are professional staffs for assisting in their educational endeavors. The children are sent to coaching indifferent games. We also have Bosco band played by our own children from the Vikas. This is a centre which combines education and lot of talent enhancement programs for the overall development of the children.

Bosco Nivas
It is the sixth centre that was opened on February 28th, 2003 at Shivajinagar Area. It has a round the clock open shelter for the underprivileged children who are living in the street. The aim of the centre is to rehabilitate them through various programs: daily contact, counseling, orientation programs, Talent enhancement programs, medical care, day and night shelter, camps, picnics, recreation, etc.
