BOSCO Anniversary Celebration

BOSCO Life Skill Training Centre, Sumanahalli, Bengaluru, organized a program to commemorate the 41st anniversary of BOSCO on June 15, 2021. Speaking on the occasion Fr. Prasad SDB, Director, BOSCO Vikas and Mane remembered the pioneers of the organization. There was cake cutting on the occasion and chocolates were distributed to all the youth and staff of the center. Twenty youth and staff were present on the occasion.
BOSCO Mane and Vikas celebrated the occasion by cutting cake in the presence of Fr. Varghese Pallipuram, Executive Director, BOSCO Bengaluru, Fr. John MA, Administrator, BOSCO Bengaluru, Fr. Prasad SDB, Director, BOSCO Vikas and Mane, Br. Manuel and Br. Lijo. Shivamallu, Coordinator, BOSCO Foster Care Programme, briefed about the history of BOSCO. Around fifty children and staff were present.
BOSCO Yuvakendra celebrated the day by garlanding the statue of Don Bosco. Sr. Silvy Lawrence, Director, spoke about the founders, the journey of BOSCO and about the scores of children and youth who have been rescued and rehabilitated during these 41 years. To mark the celebrations food kits were distributed to the underprivileged families from the surrounding communities. Twenty-two youth participated in the celebrations.
BOSCO Rainbow Home screened a short film, sang songs and performed dances on the occasion. Around twenty girls and staff were present during the programme.
